Pre Kindergarten 4

April 2025

During April in Pre-K 4: 

April showers bring…Pre-K learning about the cycle of plants.  We will be planting our own plants for Mother’s Day. We are also in our new unit Nature All Around Us where we will be going outside on Earth Day and cleaning up around the playground to help keep the Earth clean. The letters we will be focusing on are T and U. For Math we are going over shapes and patterns. We can’t forget Easter where we will be having an Easter Egg Hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny himself!!  We will also be coloring Easter eggs and making baskets.   There is so much to do this month!!

Things that your student will need everyday are 

1. a folder
2. a pair of sneakers
3. a water bottle
4. a blanket for rest time
   
   

EVERY FRIDAY blankets and water bottles will be sent home for cleaning.

We are committed to ensuring that all children receive a rich and diverse early learning experience that lays the foundation for a successful academic career.

The PreK 4 program uses several helpful resources to make sure that our preschoolers are Kindergarten ready! 

For our Math program we use Building Blocks.  This program is a supplemental mathematics curriculum designed to develop preschool student’s early mathematical knowledge through various individual and small and large-group activities.

Our Reading program is Big Day.  Big Day offers learning experiences and materials that support student’s social and emotional, academic, and physical development
