We are excited to share that our classroom theme for this month is Awesome Animals! 

Throughout the month, the children will explore the animal world through stories, hands-on activities, music, and play.

 Animal Studies

We will be learning about:

  • Winter animals
  • Farm animals
  • Forest animals
  • Water animals
  • Animals that hibernate and animals that do not hibernate

Children will discover where animals live, how they move, and how they survive during the winter.

 Literacy Focus

Our letter focus this month will be:

  • L, M, and N

We will practice letter recognition, letter sounds, and animal-related vocabulary.

 Name Learning

Children will also be introduced to their last names. We will work on:

  • Recognizing their last name
  • Spelling their last name
  • Identifying the letters in their last name

 Math Focus

Our number focus will be:

  • Numbers 11, 12, and 13

Children will practice counting, number recognition, and one-to-one correspondence using fun animal-themed activities.

 Classroom Activities

Some of our activities will include:

  • Sorting animals by habitat
  • Learning which animals hibernate
  • Animal art projects
  • Counting animals
  • Movement games where children act like different animals

 Pre-K4 School Supplies 2025-26

 A change of clothes (for spills or accidents)

  • 2 pairs of underwear
  •  A reusable water bottle (with their name on it)
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 2 rolls of paper towels
  • A blanket for nap
  • 2 Clorox wipes for cleaning
  • 2 packs of glue sticks
  • 1 liquid glue bottle 
  • A regular-sized backpack to fit their go-home folder in 
  • A plastic folder 
  • 1-24 pack of Crayola crayons 
  • 1 pencil case  
  • 1 pack of markers 


Things that your student will need everyday are 

  1. a folder
  2. a pair of sneakers
  3. a water bottle
  4. a blanket for rest time

EVERY FRIDAY blankets and water bottles will be sent home for cleaning.

We are committed to ensuring that all children receive a rich and diverse early learning experience that lays the foundation for a successful academic career.

The PreK 4 program uses several helpful resources to make sure that our preschoolers are Kindergarten ready! 

For our Math program we use Building Blocks.  This program is a supplemental mathematics curriculum designed to develop preschool student’s early mathematical knowledge through various individual and small and large-group activities.

Our Reading program is Big DayBig Day offers learning experiences and materials that support student’s social and emotional, academic, and physical development
