    Message from the Principal:

School’s Out for the Summer… sort of!

Congratulations and thank you! To the 8th grade graduates, for your academic successes and for your future. To the students moving up to new grades, for the next step in your CAWB journey! To the staff of CAWB for making it all happen, for persevering! But most of all to the parents, who have supported the students, the staff, and the school through this school year, filled with change and stress.

Today, June 23, 2022, is the last day of school. BUT, we are not done. Next week, a group of the teachers will be meeting to plan priorities for next year. Our teachers are also busy shopping for the best deal on school supplies. Even more teachers are gearing up for summer camp, which starts in 12 days! There is this idea that teachers get summers off, but our teachers are dedicated and committed to the education of your children!

Last year, we spent the summer consolidating buildings and getting ready for a merger. This year, we can focus on what really matters: the students. We will review the handbook (again), the safety plan (again), the curriculum (again). We will be working hard to plan our after school programs and revamp the schedule for classes. The 2021-2022 school year is over, yes. But there are 68 days until the 2022-2023 year begins.
