Catholic Academy of West Buffalo Welcomes Students and Staff from Our Lady of Black Rock

After many months of planning, Catholic Academy of West Buffalo and Our Lady of Black Rock are unifying into one school at the Catholic Academy site on Delaware Avenue in time for the 2021-22 school year.  Registration for the 2021-22 school year is in full swing.  OLBR and CAWB students will have priority for admissions and are encouraged to register before May 1st so the school can plan accordingly.  The unification was a necessity to keep Catholic education viable on the West Side of Buffalo.  It was a perfect storm of the global pandemic hitting schools hard and the diocese unable to assist in funding schools due to their bankruptcy, that prompted the change.  It became clear the the two schools would be stronger together.  We are confident we are on a path of sustainability and ensuring our students have the strongest academic, athletic and extracurricular programs available.  Due to COVID 19 restrictions, there will not be an Open House.  Families interested in enrolling for the 21-22 school can call Mrs. Garcia @ 885-8478 for a private tour or contact Mrs. Guarino at 885-6111 for registration information.  The future looks positive and we are excited about new students, teachers and programming!
