The Home School Association (HSA), is the parent volunteer organization of Catholic Academy of West Buffalo whose purpose is to foster a positive relationship between parents, teachers and the administrative staff of our school.
Many of the special activities that your child will experience during the upcoming year, such as the Welcome Back Picnic, Family socials, Santa Visit, Easter Egg Hunt, are all sponsored by the Home School Association. In addition, the HSA is responsible for all major fundraising efforts, including the Fall candy sale, the 500 Club Tickets and our very popular Silent Ticket Auction. All of the monies raised directly benefit our school and all of our children.
In order for the HSA to be successful and to continue to serve the Catholic Academy of West Buffalo we need to have the support and commitment from each and every family. As parents, we have a great responsibility to provide the best possible educational experience for our children. However, we also have a responsibility to become a part of that experience. Children learn by what they see and hear. It is up to us to become involved with Catholic Academy. Your input, whether it be in the form of a new idea, time spent helping with a fundraiser, or time spent helping our development office, is always needed and greatly appreciated. I believe that a strong parental support system behind a strong Home School Association will produce a strong, vibrant and successful Catholic Academy that will continue to provide our children with the highest level of quality education.
As a Home school member, you are willing to support your school, your community and most importantly, your child(ren). It reinforces your commitment to actively participate in your child's educational experience. The Home School Board meets on a bi-monthly basis, usually the 1st Wednesday of every month. The meetings are held at 7:00 p.m., in the school library. All are welcome!
