I joined the staff of Catholic Academy of West Buffalo in November 2016 as the Title I Math teacher, with many years of experience prior to my position here. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Fredonia in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree from Buffalo State College in Special Education.
My first teaching position was at St. Barnabas School in Depew, where I taught second grade for three years. After that I became a Special Education teacher in the Buffalo Public Schools. In my 31 years in Buffalo, I taught in 2 schools: Lorraine Elementary and Bilingual School #33. My assignments included a Special Education resource room teacher for students in grades 2-8, self-contained special education classrooms for both primary and intermediate students as well as co-teaching in kindergarten and grades 1, 2, 3 and 5. I retired from Buffalo Public Schools in June 2016, but still felt the need to connect with the younger individuals of our community and now am thrilled to be a member of the CAWB family.
