My experience at Catholic Academy of West Buffalo began as a substitute for all grade levels during the 2012 – 2013 school year. I was fortunate enough to become a regular faculty member as the Spanish teacher for grades three to eight during 2013 – 2014. For the past three years I’ve had the privilege of teaching sixth grade.
Previously, I had taught various grade levels for nine years at different elementary schools within the Diocese of Buffalo. I had the opportunity to attend Saint Mark School, and Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart for my elementary and high school years. I am extremely proud to continue to be actively involved in Catholic education.
As an instructor at Catholic Academy, it is my goal to encourage excellence in not only my students, but myself as well. It has always been my philosophy to become familiar with each one of my students to determine what learning styles apply to them. I pride myself in taking the time to evaluate each student and address their individual learning styles whenever the opportunity presents itself. I have high, but reasonable expectations of my students. By working together, we as a team can develop creativity, communication, responsibility, learning and critical thinking.
