My name is Alexis Troutman and I am genuinely thrilled to be teaching at CAWB.
I have been working with children of varying ages, in various settings, for about 9 years. My teaching experiences vary from, Sunday School at my church, to Wednesday Night programs, to internships, I have done it all!
I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education/ Teaching Assistant from Niagara County Community College in 2017. During my time there, I was fortunate enough to have many incredible opportunities to observe and teach in various classrooms. This allowed me to have a hands on learning (and teaching) experience to prepare me for my teaching career. I also have experience as an aid in a co-taught 2nd grade classroom in the Ken-Ton school district. I then furthered my education at Buffalo State College for another year, and decided it was time to jump back into the classroom!
I am truly my happiest watching children learn and grow to their utmost potential. It is mind boggling how much children are capable of. Each child is unique from head to toe- inside and out- and I see it as my job to help each and every one of my students see the potential in themselves and understand what makes them different makes them INCREDIBLE!
